On behalf of Proofpoint, I want to say that we are saddened and angered by the racially motivated violence and harassment targeting people of Asian descent. It’s been extremely upsetting that over the past year, the number of attacks have increased, including some against friends, neighbors, employees, and their families and loved ones. We were devastated by the recent mass murder in Atlanta, which targeted Asian-owned businesses and where six of the eight people killed were women of Asian descent.
Proofpoint continues to work on how we champion social and racial equity to ensure everyone feels valued, supported—and safe. We stand in solidarity with everyone in the Proofpoint ecosystem as well as the broader Asian and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities against these senseless acts of violence, racism and hate.
We have always had a policy that we do not tolerate racism, harassment, or discrimination of any form. As a sign of support for our colleagues of Asian descent and the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, we will make financial donations to the following three organizations:
