Senior Threat Researcher
Sarah Sabotka is a Senior Threat Researcher on the Threat Research Team at Proofpoint where she focuses on presenting research from the threat landscape to customers and the public; her favorite topics to discuss include threat actor personas, and social engineering tactics. Sarah’s background is in animal cruelty investigations and cyber threat intelligence; she earned her B.A. in English from the University of Connecticut (Storrs), and M.S. in Cybersecurity from Utica University.
Jared Peck
Senior Threat Researcher
Jared Peck is a Senior Threat Researcher for the Field Facing Threat Research Team at Proofpoint where he focuses on Brazilian banking malware and phishing kit research as well as communicating specific threats and the threat landscape to customers. Prior to joining Proofpoint, Jared spent eight years at a Fortune 500 financial services company in several roles including Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst. Before changing careers to information security, Jared worked in the emergency services field for over 15 years as a firefighter and paramedic. Jared holds several SANS certifications including GCTI, GREM, GCIH, and GCIA.

Senior Threat Researcher
Tim Kromphardt is an Email Fraud Researcher focusing on Business Email Compromise (BEC), Telephone Oriented Attack Delivery (TOAD), and scam emails. He specializes in engaging with threat actors directly both online and over the phone. When not chatting up scammers he enjoys biking, gaming, and spending time with his family.
