Participants explore the future of threats through real-world examples and case studies

SUNNYVALE, Calif., – April 14, 2015 – Proofpoint, Inc., (NASDAQ: PFPT), a leading next-generation security and compliance company, today announced its participation at the upcoming RSA Conference from April 20–24, 2015 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. In addition to exhibiting (booth #N3221), two Proofpoint experts will lead discussions to give participants a closer look at the evolving threat landscape through real-world examples and case studies.

On Tuesday, April 21, Dan Nadir, Proofpoint’s vice president of Product Development, will lead a session outlining the key facts about social media threat vectors, security and compliance. In this session for executives, CISOs and brand professionals, Dan Nadir, vice president of product development, for Proofpoint will share details on social media as a threat vector, including breach causes and protective measures.

In this intermediate Hackers & Threats Advanced conference track, moderator Wayne Huang, Proofpoint’s vice president of Engineering, will lead the expert roundtable through an overview of key case studies on remote exploitation, mining resources theft, wallet theft, fraud or scam, crime or terrorism, insider threat, DDoS, phishing, coin loss, software bug or human error, social engineering, 51 percent attack and government bans. Expert panelists include Charlie Lee, creator, Litecoin; Danny Yang, founder and chief technology officer, MaiCoin, Inc.; Fyodor Yarochkin, senior threat researcher, VArmour, Inc.; and Kristov Atlas, Bitcoin security researcher.
