Evolution and innovation
Proofpoint Protect in Nashville marked the beginning of the third evolution of Proofpoint’s journey. We welcomed thousands of viewers live and across the globe and shared our vision of protecting the new agentic workspace via our human- and agent-centric security platform,

Why is Proofpoint evolving? Because the way people work is changing. Each of us now relies on AI assistants, copilots, and other AI agents that operate alongside us across our workspace—spanning email, collaboration platforms, data, and SaaS applications. We call this the new agentic workspace.
In this environment, people and AI agents face similar risks—from social engineering attacks for humans and prompt injection attacks for agents, to the accidental or intentional exposure of sensitive information from both humans and AI agents. This is because AI connects with other humans and agents and consumes, generates, and interacts with data at a speed and scale we have never experienced before. While the risks are similar, the surface area and potentially the impact, is much larger. The tools and strategies that secured the digital workspace remain essential, but they must now extend equally to protect both humans and AI agents.
At Proofpoint Protect, we demonstrated how we are building on our proven foundation in human-centric security and expanding it to include protection of AI agents and assistants. Our human and agent-centric security platform delivers the required collaboration and data security to enable enterprises to embrace the new agentic workspace with confidence.
Business growth and customer success
In Q3, Proofpoint continued to build momentum, achieving strong results across our core metrics and deepening customer partnerships worldwide.
Key highlights for Q3 2025 include:
- Double-digit ARR growth year over year, fueled by strong adoption of our Data Security portfolio, including DLP and DSPM solutions, and Proofpoint Prime Threat Protection, a comprehensive collaboration security solution that reduces operational costs and provides advanced features like AI-driven insights and multistage attack protection.
- Hundreds of new enterprise customers chose Proofpoint as their strategic cybersecurity partner, adopting the best-in-class solution for collaboration and data security and replacing point products or legacy solutions.
- Strong growth with our MSPs who are continuing to build their stack using Proofpoint technologies to protect SMBs against the most sophisticated threat actors.
- Customer retention continued to improve, along with continued expansion of long-term, multi-year customer commitments, underscoring sustained confidence in our solutions and services.
These results highlight the strength of our execution and our ability to deliver durable growth while continuing to innovate for our customers. This quarter we delivered breakthrough advancements across our platform, including multiple industry-firsts to secure the agentic workspace and the first agentic AI solution for Human Communications Intelligence.
Strategic ecosystem expansion
We continue to partner with industry leaders to help customers solve their most complex cybersecurity challenges efficiently and effectively. I am proud to share that Proofpoint and Optiv surpassed $1 billion in sales, a testament to our strong partnership and model for customer success.
Additional partner highlights this quarter include:
- Expanded collaboration with Microsoft by joining the Microsoft Security Store Partner Ecosystem, making Proofpoint’s advanced email and collaboration defenses even more accessible to joint customers.
- Enhanced strategic alliance with CrowdStrike by integrating Proofpoint Satori™ agents with CrowdStrike’s Charlotte AI to advance the next generation of SOC automation. This collaboration opens up new co-selling opportunities and deepens our field-team alignment.
- Recognition from Wiz with the Outstanding Partnership Award, highlighting our shared commitment to customer success and innovation through our DSPM solution.
Market recognition
Year to date, we have earned 16 leadership positions across our portfolios, including two new recognitions this quarter:
- For the second consecutive year, we were named a Leader in Gartner’s 2025 Magic Quadrant for Digital Communications Governance & Archiving Solutions.
- For the second consecutive year, we earned the Customers’ Choice distinction in Gartner’s 2025 Voice of the Customer for Data Loss Prevention.
