How long will it take to migrate?

 

Depending on the amount of users being migrated, the migration should take around 24 hours. Once the migration is complete you will receive an email notification.


 

Can I trial Proofpoint Essentials?

 

Of course. We can offer a 30 day free trial of any of the Proofpoint Essentials packages to allow you to see the value and security that our solution can bring to your organization.


 

What happens if there are problems with the migration?

 

After the migration has been completed, you will receive a Migration Summary Report for your company. This will show you if any users, domains, filters, lists or groups were not imported correctly and why.


 

What information is included in the migration?

 

The migration process includes all global policies and user configuration to best reflect your existing setup. This includes:

 

  • Company information
  • Domains and domain aliases, routing information and allow and block entries
  • Users and user aliases, allow and block entries
  • Policies (including custom content policies and attachment policies)
  • ClickProtect settings including allow list

 

What information is not migrated?

 

The migration process does not include the following:

 

  • Email Archiving setup information
  • Email authentication settings (SPF, DKIM, Notifications)
  • User passwords and quarantined emails
  • Content policies (Data Loss Prevention)
  • Executable and script related policies

How do I start migrating customers?

 

The Proofpoint Essentials platform uses a helpful, automated tool to quickly transition users across from McAfee/ Intel Security. Simply, log in to the McAfee platform to start the migration process. Proofpoint Essentials is focused on the Small and Medium Enterprises. What size of company does that service?

 

Proofpoint Essentials is designed to suit the needs of small and medium enterprises and is ideal for businesses of up to 500 employees, however we are able to service business of up to 1000 users.


 

Can I self-provision customers?

 

Through the Proofpoint Essentials administrative interface, partners can easily provision new customers through easy-to-use wizards and flexible templates.  The system then allows partners to manage all of their customer accounts and access usage reports for billing.  Partners with automated systems can also leverage APIs for programmatic customer provisioning.


 

Are we able to put our own brand on the Proofpoint Essentials admin interface?

 

Yes. You can quickly and easily co-brand the Proofpoint Essentials interface by simply uploading your company logo and editing the color scheme from the options provided.


 

What information is included in the migration?

 

The migration process includes all global policies and user configuration to best reflect your existing setup. This includes:
