Proofpoint has a well-established tradition of giving back by encouraging and supporting employees to take time to volunteer in their local communities around the globe. Each of Proofpoint’s 27 office locations support local charities and non-profit organizations with year-round philanthropy events and fundraising drives with a focus on helping feed the communities where they work and live. Initiatives include supporting local food banks, annual holiday toy drives, Make-A-Wish donations, and more. Of note, in our Silicon Valley headquarters location, as announced in January 2020, our Second Harvest Food Bank contributions and donations equated to over 373,000 meals provided. As a result of this strong support by our employees we received two awards for our 2019 food drive contributions to Second Harvest: the Bumper Crop and Blue Diamond, the latter for the second year running. In 2020, Proofpoint and its partners created a “Hospital Heroes” program to support frontline workers as they provide care during the ongoing pandemic. Over 1,800 free meals have been delivered to U.S. and Canadian hospital staff who are face-to-face with COVID-19.
Proofpoint’s commitment to community also extends to its exceptional internship program, which develops excellence in the next generation of potential Proofpoint employees. Hundreds of university students worldwide have creatively contributed to stopping today’s toughest cybercriminals while building foundational professional experience and lasting relationships.
