Cyber-tuned AI, applied across Proofpoint's products
Proofpoint is a member of the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, giving it access to OpenAI's cyber-tuned AI models for authorized defensive work. Proofpoint applies these models within its own products and services to help security teams investigate and respond to threats faster, reasoning about attacker and insider technique in the detail real investigations require rather than stepping back from it like general-purpose models. Every capability stays scoped to findings and recommendations; consequential actions always require a human to initiate them.
Cyber-tuned Reasoning
OpenAI Daybreak models are purpose-built for authorized defensive work. Unlike general-purpose AI models, which are tuned to back away from investigative depth, Daybreak engages with attacker and insider tactics in detail. Proofpoint embeds that reasoning inside its own products, rather than exposing it as a separate console or tool to learn.
Human Oversight
Capabilities built on this partnership are scoped to produce findings, structured summaries, and recommended next steps, never autonomous action. Account changes, containment, and other consequential decisions always stay with a human reviewer, regardless of which model produced the recommendation.
