The 22nd Annual Event Will Celebrate Local Efforts to End Hunger in Silicon Valley

WHAT: Proofpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ: PFPT), a leading security-as-a-service provider, announced that it has been selected to receive Second Harvest Food Bank's "Bumper Crop Award" at the Make Hunger History Awards Event on April 4, 2013. Proofpoint was selected for this award based on the company's inspiring response by going above and beyond Second Harvest's request and collecting more than 40 tons of food that was distributed to low-income families in the Bay Area in 2012.  Proofpoint executives will receive this special honor at the awards event in front of an audience of dedicated supporters from local corporations, schools and organization.

WHO: Jennifer Hedding, vice president and head of WW human resources; Ed Stacy, manager, medium enterprise sales; and Stacey Burge, human resources specialist will receive the award on behalf of Proofpoint.
