Under the guidance of our instructors, these pods are opportunities for you to troubleshoot issues together, share insights with peers, and answer questions to maximize your knowledge and skills for obtaining your certification in an intimate group setting. Laptops will not be provided for the work study pods.

How much does it cost to get certified?
Each standard exam is $250. For training courses, please reach out to training@proofpoint.com for more information and pricing.
How can I get a discount for the certification?
If you register and get certified at one of our Proofpoint Protect events, your exam fee will be waived as a part of your attendance in-person. Exam seats and discounts are limited at Protect as a first-come first-serve basis. For more information on Protect 2024 and the exams, click here.
Am I required to take the courses and labs in order to get my certification?
No. You are only required to pass the exam to get your certification. However, it is highly recommended that you attend all the courses and labs since they are designed specifically to help you pass your exam.
If I don’t pass the exam, can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, no. There will be no refunds for failed or incomplete exams. This is why we highly recommend you attend all the courses and labs since they are designed specifically to help you pass your exam.
How do I get an exam voucher?
Once you register for the Proofpoint Protect events, we will distribute your voucher onsite at the event prior to taking your exam.
What to bring/not bring for the in-person exams?
Laptops will be provided for you. Valid identification will be required. No personal laptops or electronic devices will be allowed (including watches).
How long will the exam be?
Both the People Protection and Information Protection analyst exams are 90 minutes.
Are there other places and options to take my exam?
We are currently only offering in-person exams at the Proofpoint Protect events. For more information on Protect 2024 and the exams, click here.
If I didn't pass my exam, when am I allowed to retake it again?
You may retake an exam after 7 days from the initial date of the previous attempt. Once the 7 days have passed, you may repurchase and retake the exam. You cannot retake an exam that you've already passed until you need to either renew your certification and/or a new exam is published in place of the existing exam.
