Cybersecurity: The 2022 Board Perspective Key Findings and Executive Briefing Slides

As cyber attacks become increasingly sophisticated and hit organizations of all sizes, the board-CISO relationship has never been more important. To protect people and data and ensure continued organizational success, CISOs must communicate effectively with their boards, put threats in perspective, foster collaboration and drive accountability.

At the same time, board members need to work to understand how cybersecurity vulnerabilities can affect their company's business goals, reputation and bottom line.

Working with Cybersecurity at MIT Sloan research consortium, we surveyed 600 board members across 12 countries for insight into cyber threats and the risks boards of directors face every day, whether they’re prepared to combat those threats and how closely they’re aligned with their CISOs.

Use these slide as a reference and a starting point for discussions with your own board about how to better align and improve your cybersecurity posture.
