Employees at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) were being inundated with spam, receiving hundreds of unsolicited emails each day. As a result the agency began a search for a messaging security solution that would offer unrivalled accuracy in detecting spam and superior customer support, all at an optimal cost.
USAID deployed the Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway, an appliance that stops unsolicited emails before they enter the network. The Proofpoint Spam Detection™ module prevents spam and phishing attacks from reaching users, while the Proofpoint Virus Protection™ module protects users from virus attacks, worms and other forms of malicious code.

PROOFPOINT PROVIDED A COMPLETE ANTI-SPAM SOLUTION
USAID evaluated a handful of messaging security solutions and narrowed its choice down to Proofpoint and MailFrontier. USAID eventually selected Proofpoint, because it easily met all of the agency's criteria for a messaging security solution.
