We are thrilled to announce Proofpoint has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire InteliSecure, Inc. (“InteliSecure”), an innovator in data loss protection managed services. This acquisition will expand our ability to help our customers and partners with people-centric managed security services that leverage the technology and deep expertise of InteliSecure applied across Proofpoint’s market-leading security and compliance platforms.
Organizations worldwide need enhanced information protection managed services as they continue to operate remotely within an increasingly complex IT ecosystem. This acquisition will boost our enterprise data loss prevention (DLP) effectiveness and our premium managed services to continue supporting customers as they build and operate world-class data protection programs. InteliSecure’s technology, methodology and practices will also create a blueprint for partners to develop their own managed services around Proofpoint’s Information Protection Platform.
We are also eager to welcome InteliSecure’s employees to the Proofpoint team. Under the terms of the agreement, Proofpoint will acquire InteliSecure for $62.5 million in cash, subject to customary purchase price adjustments. The acquisition is expected to close during this first quarter of 2021, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
